The courthouse is not only historic, it is an important centerpiece to the community, culturally and socially. The downtown area is experiencing a wonderful revival in commercial and cultural activity and moving the courthouse would jeopardize the businesses and in turn jeopardize the growing interest in Gallatin as a destination for visitors. DO NOT MOVE THE COURTHOUSE!!!

It practically destroyed downtown when the Taj Mahal was built and the Post Office relocated. Please do not undo all the progress that has been made to recover and rebuild downtown Gallatin. Historic buildings like the Courthouse should be maintained, not compromised.
