I have lived in Gallatin all my life, and worked at the courthouse for many years. It’s a strong structural building. Better than the one you could build today. All it needs is a good remodel. There are areas that are not being used and space that could make more offices or courtrooms. I never can get over our county government always wants to tear down our schools and buy land somewhere else to build our schools and the county has a lot of wasted property. Like the Gallatin high school campus, it looks Awful it could have been remodeled and added on to but no had to go down Nashville pike and buy land and build a million plus dollar school and campus we did not need. when people come to the gallatin high football games It looks so bad and it could have been beautifully restored. Now you want to do the same again with the courthouse. We do not need to move it. Not to mention other schools you need to remodel in the county or add on to and not go somewhere else to buy property and build We could save a lot of tax payer dollars. We need to elect our own home town people, when the outside people move in, and get elected they don"t care about our history of sumner county. Look at mr Anderson of Anderson funeral home bought a big block around the funeral home and threaten to tear down the historical buildings around it. Till Gallatins people all protesting against it.Then he gets mad at some of his employees for not bringing in business. No mr Anderson it’s not your employees that were not bring in business. you did that all buy yourself for not caring about our historical history of Gallatin. People here don’t go for that kind of behavior.

I work in the Prestige Studio on the Square and I always love seeing these historical building. It would be a shame to lose one of the most interesting ones because someone doesn’t want to take the time.

It’s time to pay now. The county could have paid long ago. Now things have piled up and gotten very expensive. This is not the citizens fault .

A great piece Of history. Very beatiful building my husband and i were married there in 1969. Can be used as a museum. Or for many other events. Or hotel. Thank you
